Jim was amazing! Second time using him and he does not disappoint, extremely thorough and honest!

Very professional and thorough!

Jim was amazing and very quick to respond. I called and he was out the next day to help me identify the issue. He even walked me through how to get the leak fixed so I could explain everything to the contractor. Highly recommend!

Jim is very thorough, very thoughtful, and explains everything very clearly. I absolutely recommend Hearthside Home Inspections to friends and family!

So today we went through a house with Jim. We can confirm all the positive reviews are 100% accurate. This is the guy you want for the job. It felt just like having a family friend with all the information you could possibly want/need. Hire Hearthside Home Inspections I would again.

Jim is extremely knowledgeable, patient, friendly, and thorough with our recent home inspection. Would highly recommend him to anyone in need!!

We were recommended Jim from a post on facebook looking for thorough home inspections. And he spent about two hours with us today inspecting everything. He found a fresh leak and did a mold test for us on the spot. He was very patient with our questions as first time home buyers. He gave us a list of things that needed to be fixed and what was worth our time fixing and what can wait. My husband and I cannot recommend him enough and are so grateful for his knowledge and expertise.

Jim was a pleasure, he was extremely knowledgeable and didn't miss a beat. I'd recommend him to anybody. He answered every question and looked everywhere. He was honest and put my mind at ease and you can't put a price on that. Call this man you won't be disappointed. Thumbs up

Jim is great! I recommend him, on time, thorough, honest!

Extremely professional, knowledgeable, and was able to tailor services to what I wanted. Described everything in detail and gave tips on what to look for in the future.

We cannot say enough about Jim Summers. He came to our home on very short notice to perform an urgent inspection and was kind enough to fit us into his busy schedule. From the moment he arrived, he was professional, personable, thorough, and incredibly detail-oriented. He took the time to carefully inspect everything, explained his findings clearly, and answered every question we had. His knowledge, honesty, and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire inspection. We truly appreciate the time and care he put into his work and would highly recommend Jim to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, trustworthy, and thorough home inspector.

Hired this company for an inspection on a possible investment property in Bethlehem. A gentleman named Jim came out and had no problem with us being there while he inspected, and welcomed any and all questions. He was on time, very thorough, didn’t rush, and gave us the good, the bad, and the ugly. He was very detailed on his report which I got less than 24 hours later. I loved that this was a family owned business and you can tell he takes much pride in his work. Thanks Jim for all your help and for answering my 150 calls after the inspection with my million questions 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Jim was an absolute wealth of knowledge. He went through every inch of the property and even clued us into info that may not apply now but may in the future. He was timely, professional, courteous, and extremely thorough in his report. I know who I'll call if I ever need a home inspection again.

Jim recently helped us with our new home in Pottstown. After the phone call to set things up, we knew right away he was a professional with excellent communication skills. His warm and inviting demeanor gave us the confidence we were looking for. We had a quick deadline, and Jim made it all work. He was able to get the water sample a few days before our appointment so we could make the deadline. At the house, Jim took the time to explain everything; the good, the bad, and everything in between. There was no stone left unturned. With his years of experience, it was like watching a conductor of an orchestra, as he inspected each room and pointed out all the nuances in the house. His report was thorough and emailed one day after the inspections. The whole process was like a good friend you trusted was helping you out in a time of need. We highly recommend Jim for your next home inspection.

Outstanding service! I needed an honest assessment of an issue, and Jim from Hearthside Home Inspections delivered. He examined the situation, provided clear recommendations, and pointed me in the right direction on how to move forward. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and he responded to my initial request right away. I truly appreciate his honesty, helpfulness, and professionalism!

We hired Jim from Hearthside Home Inspections for a post-purchase inspection after moving into our new house, and he was really great. Not only was he incredibly thorough with the inspection itself, but he also took the time to teach us exactly how our home's systems work (he even got our sump pump running for us!) Jim is a very nice, friendly, and knowledgeable gentleman. We can’t recommend Jim highly enough.

Extremely detailed and thorough home inspection. Provided great feedback and things I could do to improve energy efficiency.

A lot of his positive reviews are from agents he work for. Not work with but work for.In his report for my house he said he was unable to go to the roof for a detailed inspection. It would help if he didnt bring his personal vehicle (white jeep with a glock sticker) and brought a ladder with him. So he cant conclude if the flashing and gutters were adequate. Unfortunately only after I closed and had my gutters clean that I found out the gutters werent. Also after I moved in there were glaring obvious issues that he did not report and I will tell you why later. My contractor said my stair railing was almost falling apart and easily removed the ballusters. I also found some fake vents that just covered ceiling damage. He missed that too. The shower enclosure had leaks in multiple spots. All I had to do was turn on the shower and spray around. Water was leaking through every crevice. I dont understand how he missed that. Especially with the quarter round rotting next to it.What was strange about the whole interaction was how he keep telling me how LUCKY I am to get this house and how GREAT and BEAUTIFUL this house was. He made this conclusion before he even made it to the bedrooms and bathrooms and basement. Then it dawned on me. I got him through my agent. I didnt find him on my own. You know what they say "dont use your agents inspector" He was in her pocket and they work together to fluff up the house to get the sale.Look at his reviews. A number of them are agents some of whom I met from other showings. He is their guy.Avoid this guy at all cost.

Jim did a fantastic thorough inspection. I highly recommend him!

We had the pleasure of working with James Summers for our home inspection. He was great, very down to earth, super thorough, and full of knowledge and experience for the first-time home buyer. Would absolutely recommend his services to any and all prospective property buyers. Thanks again for your diligence, James!

Top notch! Friendly, thorough, and knowledgeable! Jim is an awesome guy. He made my fiancé and I feel secure in buying our first home knowing what it needed (and didn’t need!). I couldn’t have asked for more, and would recommend Hearthside to anyone looking for an honest and thorough inspection at a great price!

Jim was amazing. He took us through the house and was more than thorough and happy to explain everything and answer all of our questions! After walking through with Jim I feel confident that I have an intimate understanding of the house and feel secure moving forward. I highly recommend

Jim was fantastic—extremely thorough, kind, and patient. He walked us through the entire inspection, explaining everything clearly and making sure we understood each step. His helpful maintenance tips and recommendations gave us real confidence moving forward. Highly recommend!

First time home buyers: We had an excellent experience with Jim and honestly can’t imagine going through this home purchase without him. As buyers in a competitive market, we needed to waive the formal inspection to stay competitive—but we were able to get permission for a “walk and talk,” and Jim was absolutely perfect for that. He was incredibly kind, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. He walked us through the home clearly and calmly, pointed out exactly what mattered, what was minor, and what we should be aware of long-term. Jim didn’t rush us, didn’t scare us, and didn’t sugarcoat anything. He helped us understand the real condition of the property so we could make a confident, informed decision. After working with him, we felt genuinely at peace submitting our offer—and we got the house! If you’re buying a home and want someone you can trust, especially in a fast-moving market, Jim is the person you want in your corner. We’re so grateful for his help and would recommend him without hesitation.

Highly Recommend! Jim Summers is Outstanding!!! He's very professional, polite & cheerful to work with & extremely knowledgeable (25 years expert experience). Our realtor referred us to Jim Summers & we greatly appreciated it. Bought an old fixer upper & we were worried about any possible health hazards (ie, lead paint, asbestos, lead plumbing, etc.) Jim thoroughly checked & alleviated all our concerns. In addition he explained what he was looking at & what's impt. to know. We can sleep at night knowing this home is safe (& also well built). Hire Jim Summers!! (PS- his price was much lower than many competitors too!) -K.H.

As a first time home buyer, Jim was easy to work with and helped us identify several items to get ahead of as we settled in. Definitely recommend his services!

I was fortunate enough to be introduced to Jim as a home inspector twenty years ago. I can honestly say over the tenure of my career, Jim has been my Home Inspector of choice. He is very knowledgeable, honest and at times called an inspection off, knowing the Buyer had seen something that did change their mind of purchasing the home. I know I can count on Jim to help the Buyer through an inspection. Not setting off alarms, just good clean information and guidance on how to maintain a home after a purchase. My Home Inspector For Life!

I’ve worked with Jim at Heartside Home Inspection three times, and each experience has been outstanding. He is incredibly thorough and efficient, and he always takes the time to answer my questions with patience and care. Jim genuinely cares about what he does, and it shows in every detail. He has gone above and beyond for me every single time, never cutting corners and always making sure I feel confident and informed. His pricing is more than fair for the time and effort he puts in. I trust him completely and will continue to recommend Heartside Home Inspection to anyone who asks. Jim is truly one of a kind.

Jim was so knowledgeable about all aspects of our home: HVAC, roof, electrical and water softener! His recommendations are so helpful that we can enjoy our new home! And he was sooooo Nice😀. A pleasure doing business with a reputable company!
